1. Who created the Devil?
Read: Colossians 1:15,16

15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by him were all things __________, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were __________ by him, and for him:

NOTE: Jesus Christ created all things, which included a being that would be called the Devil.​

2. How was the Devil when he was created?
Read: Ezekiel 28:12-17
 
12 Son of man, take up a lamentation on the king of Tyrus, and say to him, Thus said the Lord GOD; You seal up the sum, full of wisdom, and __________ in beauty. 13 You have been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of your tabrets and of your pipes was prepared in you in the day that you were created.  14 You are the anointed cherub that covers; and I have set you so: you were on the holy mountain of God; you have walked up and down in the middle of the stones of fire. 15 You were __________ in your ways from the day that you were created, till iniquity was found in you.  16 By the multitude of your merchandise they have filled the middle of you with violence, and you have sinned: therefore I will cast you as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy you, O covering cherub, from the middle of the stones of fire. 17 Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty, you have corrupted your wisdom by reason of your brightness: I will cast you to the ground, I will lay you before kings, that they may behold you.

NOTE: The Devil was created perfect, full of wisdom, perfect in beauty.

NOTE: This passage does not describe the literal king of Tyrus because the literal king of Tyrus was not in Eden the garden of God (verse 13), was not the anointed cherub (verse 14), was not the covering cherub (verse 16).

3. What was the name of the Devil when he was created?
Read: Isaiah 14:12

How are you fallen from heaven, O __________, son of the morning! how are you cut down to the ground, which did weaken the nations!

NOTE: The name of the Devil was Lucifer, the son of the morning.

4. Did Jesus Christ create a sinful being and therefore become the creator or the originator of sin?
​
NOTE: No, he did not. Jesus Christ created the Devil perfect in his ways, full of wisdom, perfect in beauty.

5. Were there angels that were created perfect but then sinned?
Read: 2 Peter 2:4; Jude 1:6

For if God spared not the angels that __________, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved to judgment; (2:4)

And the angels which kept not their first estate, but __________ their own habitation, he has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness to the judgment of the great day. (1:6)

6. What does 'name' symbolize?

7. What does 'Devil' mean?

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the __________ of our brothers is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. (12:10)

Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Does Job fear God for nothing? Have not you made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he has on every side? you have blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. (1:9,10)

1 And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to __________ him. 2 And the LORD said to Satan, The LORD rebuke you, O Satan; even the LORD that has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? (3:1,2)

8. What does 'Satan' mean?

9. How did Lucifer turn into the Devil or Satan?

13 For you have said in your heart, I will __________ into heaven, I will __________ my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also on the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will __________ above the heights of the clouds; I will be __________ the most High.

NOTE: Lucifer turned into the Devil or Satan because he wanted to exalt himself above all the angels of God and be like God.
​

NOTE: Lucifer turned into the Devil or Satan because he was filled with violence, because he sinned, because his heart was lifted up because of his beauty, because he corrupted his wisdom because of his brightness.

10. What was Lucifer?

You are the anointed __________ that covers; and I have set you so: you were on the holy mountain of God; you have walked up and down in the middle of the stones of fire.

11. What was 'cherub'?
Read: Genesis 3:24; Ezekiel 10:19
 â€‹
So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubim, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. (3:24)

And the cherubim lifted up their __________, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheels also were beside them, and every one stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD's house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above. (10:19)
