EVERLASTING COMMANDMENTS

1. Did the Ten Commandments exist since the world was created before they were written on the tables of stone and given to Moses?
Read: Genesis 4:8,10,11,13
8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and __________ him.
10 And he said, What have you done? the voice of your brother's blood cries to me from the ground. 11 And now are you cursed from the earth, which has opened her mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand;
13 And Cain said to the LORD, My __________ is greater than I can bear.

NOTE: The Ten Commandments existed since the world was created before they were written on the tables of stone and given to Moses. They were used as a standard to judge mankind. After Cain killed Abel, God punished Cain for breaking the sixth commandment, 'You shall not kill.' 'Because the law works wrath: Where no law is, there is no transgression' (Romans 4:15).

Read: Genesis 39:7-10
And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes on Joseph; and she said, __________ with me. But he refused, and said to his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he has committed all that he has to my hand; There is none greater in this house than I; neither has he kept back any thing from me but you, because you are his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and __________ against God? And it came to pass, as she spoke to Joseph day by day, that he listened not to her, to lie by her, or to be with her.

NOTE: Joseph lived before Moses. He knew that 'lying with a woman married to an husband' (Deuteronomy 22:22) was a sin against God and that 'sin is the transgression of the law' (1 John 3:4). He knew that lying with his master's wife would have broken the seventh commandment, 'You shall not commit adultery.' 'By the law is the knowledge of sin' Romans 3:20. â€‹

2. Did the Ten Commandments exist before the creation of the world?
Read: John 8:44

You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and stayed not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. (8:44)

NOTE: Satan sinned before the creation of the world. He lusted, which was synonymous with 'coveted' (Romans 7:7 'for I had not known lust, except the law had said, You shall not covet'). He 'was a murderer.' He is 'the father of lie.' Sin is the transgression of the law (1 John 3:4). Where no law is, there is no transgression (Romans 4:15). Which law did Satan transgress? The law that commands 'You shall not covet', 'You shall not kill', and 'You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor', which is the Ten Commandments.

3. Will the Ten Commandments still exist at the end time?
Read: Revelation 15:5; Revelation 11:19

And after that I looked, and, behold, the __________ of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened: (15:5)

And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the __________ of his testament: and there were lightning, and voices, and thunder, and an earthquake, and great hail. (11:19)

NOTE: At the end time, John saw the temple of the tabernacle and the ark of the testament in it.

4. What is inside the ark?
Read: 1 Kings 8:9

There was nothing in the ark save the two __________ of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.

NOTE: The ark contains nothing but the two tables of stone of the Ten Commandments. It shows that the Ten Commandments are not abolished and still exist

5. What are the Ten Commandments used for at the end time?
Read: Rome 2:12,16; James 2:12

For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be __________ by the law; In the day when God shall __________ the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel. (2:12,16)

So speak you, and so do, as they that shall be __________ by the law of liberty. (2:12)

NOTE: Jesus Christ will judge men and He will use the Ten Commandments as the standard.

6. Who are called the saints at the end time?
Read: Revelation 14:12
